Cookie Notice
Effective 6 October 2026
In short
- Cookies support sign-in, Google authentication, your selected delivery area and security checks.
- We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- Your browser also saves your cart, booking request identifiers and notification preferences to make the app work.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser so it can remember something between visits, such as that you’re signed in.
The cookies we use
These cookies support account sign-in:
- Name
- __Host-gride_session
- What it does
- Keeps you signed in to this G-Ride app; each app has its own session
- Type
- Strictly necessary, set by G-Ride itself
- When it’s set
- Only when you sign in
- How long it lasts
- 30 days, or until you sign out
- Protection
- Scripts can’t read it, and it’s sent only over a secure (HTTPS) connection
- Name
- __Host-gride_oauth
- What it does
- Remembers the Google sign-in you started, so no one else’s can be swapped in
- Type
- Strictly necessary, set by G-Ride itself
- When it’s set
- Only when you tap Continue with Google
- How long it lasts
- Deleted when you’re back from Google, or after 10 minutes
- Protection
- Scripts can’t read it, and it’s sent only over a secure (HTTPS) connection
Delivery area and security
When you choose a delivery area, gride_barangay remembers it for up to 180 days, including when you browse without signing in. Authorized owners switching panels use a separate, short-lived gride_owner_acting or __Host-gride_owner cookie for up to one hour. A __Host-gride_transfer security cookie binds cross-app sign-in and owner access to your browser; it expires after ten minutes or is removed after a successful handoff. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may also set security cookies when checking whether a visitor is a person or an automated bot.
Other browser storage
Local storage keeps your cart and job-alert preference. Session storage helps prevent duplicate bookings and remembers whether you enabled job sounds. The installed app may cache public assets for loading and updates. You can clear this information in your browser settings; doing so can remove your cart and preferences.
What we don’t use
We don’t use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. When you follow a link to Facebook or Messenger, Meta’s own cookie policy applies there, and when you continue with Google, Google’s does.
Managing cookies
You can see and delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you won’t be able to sign in or stay signed in.
Changes
If we ever add cookies that aren’t strictly necessary, for example to measure how the site is used, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this notice. For how we handle personal data in general, see our Privacy Notice.
